Kielbasa anyone?

So after having a few months under my belt, all I have to say is... Please cook your pork! So You all would have paid big bucks to be a fly on the wall the day I had to physically restrain a poor little Venezuelan man during a CT scan. You should have seen me in there with my lead vest on yelling "Cabeza aqui, por favor!! Senior!! Muy importante! Cabeza aqui!!" Thanks to a little parasite from undercooked pork, this patient had a lovely disease called neurocysticercosis. Yep, it's exactly what it sounds like, worms in the brain. Good times!
And sometimes patients don't have to eat undercooked swine to be crazy. A patient who will go by the name of "Emily Rose" felt that she was not schizophrenic as previously diagnosed by several psychiatrists but could be inflicted with "demon possession". When asked by the patient if I though this to be possible, I could not help myself but replied "I've seen a few of those in my day, and I don't think that's what you've got." Our assistant nurse manager (a little Indian man of Hindu religion) proceeded to enter her room with a little white cross he had made out of napkins, and told her he was sent as a messenger of God to tell her that Jesus loved her. The nurses on my floor might be crazier than the patients, but as long as we can outsmart them...
